Create Unconventional Information Products For Your On-line Business

How to Build Super-Profitable Lists - Build Massive Profitable Lists. Top Experts Show You For Free.

Another week has gone by and I hardly noticed! I can't find a motherboard with a floppy connector, so I'll take one without and give my niece a USB stick to carry her stuff to school. No use sweating the small stuff *8>)

I'm in the process of tidying up a few loose ends so that we can visit the kids and grandkids early in February. Space limitations at their end mean that basically we meet them in a restaurant for a meal and socializing, so we don't visit for more than a few days or I'd be a balloon when we got home.

Well, enough of that, I am taking a small diversion from mail list, article writing and promotion to talk about Ebay this week.

Create Unconventional Information Products For Your On-line Business

By now you know the importance of digital delivery, that is downloading from a web site. Being able to deliver your products digitally allows you to be free of the worries of shipping charges and storage space. Additionally, your customers can feel more comfortable as they get what they pay for as soon as they pay for it.

Information products like eBooks and special reports are the usual items up for sale in most Internet marketing ventures. But these are not the only information products which you can sell. There are others which, although they may require a little more skills to create, can prove very rewarding nonetheless.

Letís take a look at some of the other information products that you could create.

Video Products

Since a good number of your prospective customers connect to the Internet via T1, cable or DSL, delivering bigger files has become less of an issue these days compared to how it was two or three years ago. Internet marketers are just starting to offer video products these days, so there is a sizable market for you to exploit, if you act quickly.

Video products may come in the form of tutorials, web documentaries, or even entertainment. You could use the conventional way of filming your subjects via a digital camcorder and editing the result via a variety of video editing software available in the market today. Or if you're planning on presenting web tutorials, you could simply download any screen capture device and use your cursor as a pointer to guide your viewers through the subject of the course. You could also download almost any free sound recording device to complement your video with audio information.

There is unfortunately that small chance that some of your customers can only access the Internet through a 56k modem. To facilitate their purchases, you could choose to divide the video file into smaller files, and label them appropriately. This way your customers can download them in smaller more manageable batches.

Audio Products

Audio products are quite easy to prepare. There are a lot of audio recording devices available for download, some better than others. What you really need is a clear script of the things you want to say. A lot of important information can get lost when creating audio, so it is vital that your script incorporates everything that you want to say, in a manner that is clear and easy to understand.

The audio format you wish to make available is an important concern as well. Probably the best choice is an mp3 file format because it makes the recording more compressed and thus easier to download. Better yet, using RSS 2.0 technology, you could create what they call a podcast, that is, a downloadable audio for iPods and some RSS readers. This is an amazing file format, as you could record hours upon hours of audio without worrying about file size.

Podcasting allows your visitors to download the audio files you have prepared, so that they can listen to them later on. With the growing popularity of portable media devices like the Apple iPod and other mp3 players, downloading podcasts have become very popular. People want to listen to something while they're stuck in traffic, sitting in their doctorís waiting room, or while they're waiting for their flight. This is the opening you need to target a specific need.

Other Products

The thing with unconventional information products is that there is no limit as to what form they can take. Your creativity and imagination are free to play in this field,. As they say, itís all up to you. Just make sure that the products you come up with are capable of convenient digital delivery, and you're all set to go.

Until next timeÖ

warmly,
